Diet Makes A Big Difference
I don’t care if I sound “clichè” processed foods like junks are actually bad for you, horrible !!!.
And I know sometimes it might not be realistic to stick to whole foods because of the fast pace of the world and work etc , junks and take out seems more convenient for a whole lot of people but here are some positive impacts a change to your diet can actually give . I’ve been in both extremes having a diet with whole foods and having a diet with junks and bad food 😟…so take it from me I’ve been there .
- You Feel Better Mentally
I’m talking from I ate junk food excessively, I had some form of brain fog , I felt horrible , i couldn’t think clearly , I was less motivated to do the things I’m supposed to do , i can’t exactly describe it , it was just a horrible feeling .But with whole foods like fruits, vegetables , nuts , diary , whole grains etc in the right amount made me more energetic and feel better about myself as a whole. And I think there’s a link between diet and mental well-being.
2. You stand a lower risk of getting diseases like heart disease , liver disease , diabetes, stroke , alzimers, etc .I.e you’re most likely to have a healthy heart , brain liver, etc
3.You have more radiant and glowing skin .Food rich in excess processed foods and sugar can actually make yiu have less healthy looking skin ..on the other hand a balanced diet with legumes , whole grains, nuts , seeds etc could give you beautiful and radiant skin.
4. Weight Management..
Unless you have issues with your thyroid or other disease that affect metabolism or are on a medication or treatment. Being overweight is mostly caused by poor diet choices and lack of portion control ..you’re less likely to be overweight when yiu ditched the processed foods and sugar .
5. You are less susceptible to infections like common cold , the flu ,cough and bacteria infections , because your body has a strong immune system thanks to your diet .
When it comes to dieting I don’t believe in the one size fits all approach, different people are more comfortable with different plans/methods of eating .I would recommend that processed foods with added sugars , flavours, colours, preservatives and excessive fat should be totally avoided /eliminated or reduced .
6 . You start to get used to the taste of healthy foods with time, and you might not even miss the unhealthy junks anymore. When you start eating healthy a longer time , your taste buds start becoming well adjusted, and even if you start your old habits again, it might give a taste that’s a little “too much”.
